Iolite is also known as the Viking compass stone, as it's believed that thin slices of iolite served as glare-reducers and polarizing filters to help Viking navigators locate the sun on cloudy days and pinpoint their location on the seas.
 
This iolite ring might not help you navigate a cloudy day, but it's pale lilac colour will put a smile on your face. As with the other rings in my Simplicity Collection, this ring will stack with any of the others so you can create your own unique set of stacking rings.
